In 2008 I felt as though something very important was going to happen in our country, and I wanted to be apart of it, even more so than to cast an unanimous vote. I wanted to illustrate in my own way, how I found the importance of November 4th 2008. How that date will be much more than another presidential election. but, will transcend far past a change of leadership. MOVE FOREWORD ON NOVEMBER 7th
There is a prophecy. Were It is said that the
“Star Nation people will return”.
I believe that they have arrived, our children being rising stars as each and every one has the ability to become, and as they start to shine and become bright, wise with the knowledge they share among themselves in the construct of this information age as well as that which has been passed down to them from their ancestors, to light up the darkness and shine for others to see. Not to forget that every star in the sky may at times feel as distant and unreachable as our children come in too their own. It is my intent to reach these rising stars through vision and voice .For every star in the sky is also a sun, on November 4th :
This Symbol represents a potential future, holding our past and present within our country’s history.
The symbolism,
the green stripes represent our land that is sometimes forgotten under our feet, as well as in our capital, as we at times lose focus while we engage one another. Most often while fighting for the country or just a small part of it for ourselves.
The land also honors “the field of dreams” were a people once enslaved, dreamt of freedom, and so the field of dreams was sown. This same field spreads across our land to this day. A land were people can be free to give birth to their own dreams.
There are twelve stars circling a thirteenth that is grasped in the hand depicting the clock, as the time is now and will be held by the ones who make it their own.
The stars rise from the field to light up the sky but, also to become the key as each person with in this country has the ability to become.
The combination is simple, just four steps to unlock the shackle that is filed with the color red respecting the heart of patriotism.
1: Get off your ass.
2: Go to the polls.
3: Vote with pride.
4: Become a Star.
The wrist is shackled illustrating that our government is to be enslaved by its people, not its people being enslaved by it government. This is a strong statement one that should be spoken as well as seen with the chain and shackle making a point clear.
However, the chain and shackle also signifies a reversal of what was seen as a negative ruling of slavery of any kind sot in our past to construct this country. But, it is my intent for it to be seen as a symbol of the sacrifice that a government must take for its people.
The “Chain of Command” honors as well as respects our forefathers, our ancestors that led our country to become the superpower it is today.
There are forty-four links making up the chain respectfully representing our past and present presidents all being white, rectangular in shape and color aside from one. Our present candidate Barack Obama whom is clearly symbolized as a gold circular link to reflect the shape and medium that is so imperative to establish within the chain of command. As we a people do have the power within ourselves to command this chain to change and take new shape for generations to come.
The chain is not to be broken but to be unlocked by its people only to add a new link to lead as well as teach a generation opportunity, equally and justly, as every American is said to have.
Freedom is found only within the control of a people who believe that their government is free to lead them honorably, justly and nobly with the intelligence of knowing when to become the lion or the lamb.
To not control the countries outside its borders but, to reflect as an incredible example of the potential a people have within their own land.
Our Future: After reading an article in a science journal whose topic was how a new race was developing by the propagation of all our present individual races. In one respect looking at the larger scope of America and seeing it as a “Mecca” for all races and their unique cultural backgrounds to unite. To in one respect “Evolve” through procreation, or I would go as far as to say, “love”.
In reflection of this “Evolution” I believe it is of the utmost importance to ensure our country’s government and people establish a sound structure for these new children.Whose DNA will hold all of the diversities and unique genetic traits as well as cultural history that currently seems at times to separate us. For them to see with their own eyes whether they are considered a minority or by their gender alone preventing them from their full potential. That they too sitting in a class room at the age of seven,when a child is just becoming socially aware of the larger world he or she lives in.Being told they have the ability within them to become the leader of our country. To establish a system, a safe and sound structure for our children to be held within by a country whose people and nation have become unquestionably the most gifted and influential.
Children who are to be held within a land whose nation and government have unquestionably become the strongest, just for this purpose alone.
Has it always been found that when one is looking for purpose it is more often than not found in the eyes of a child?
Therefore regarding this "campaign" of my own, it is my intent to establish a clear and concise focus on this objective through vision and voice.
It clearly has taken the determination of all three colors of our country’s flag to construct this great nation.
RED: The native Indians who respectfully believed that they did not own this land. but, were an extension of it. Honorably, as they made it their home. A people that were forced from it physically as well as spiritually to hold their breath for a time when a new people are ready to breath in their exhale.
WHITE: The English whose government was so oppressing that a people would escape captivity by enduring unimaginable unknowns on a sea of hope to reach freedom.
BLUE: The descendents of Africa whose people were forced to this land for one intention alone: Too become the “back bone” of this great land, regardless of the horrors of a flawed design. It has become true, a people whose influence gave birth to such art, music and vision. That can only be comparable to bringing about a new artisan age.That has transcended all predecessors.
As our country has carved its own path to become what it is today. It is clear that without the multitude of diversity, our small part of this world would not be as brilliantly colored.
Because of this fact I have added respectively new color to this design.
YELLOW: To represent Asia, whose people have been such an incredible and integral part of this nations development.
GREEN: to reflect and honor our land.
Of all these colors and the different shades that create such a beautiful composition, it must be acknowledged that without one another there would not be this Orchestra of music or the great symphony our country creates.
As our county has grown through its short time, a people who continue to struggle through their own redemption whether owned by their misguidance or their ancestors. We do and should prevail with our pride in one’s self as we should for the people we share this land with. Knowing collectively that we all race toward an unforeseen finish line were we will be able to rest together without judgment of who or what we are. But, to just know that the “race” is over and that word no longer exists in our vocabulary.
The wings that frame the key illustrate the left and right political parties, unity of both of these wings are imperative to fulfilling this vision of a land reflecting the evening sky as a new dawn approaches. where all the stars our country holds within,step out to shine in fulfillment of a prophecy. To have our country the “star nation” and we the “star people” returning on November 4th.
An ancient prophecy states, When the Blue Star named Kachina makes its appearance in the heavens, the Fifth World will emerge". This will be the Day of Purification, It will come when the (Blue Star) Kachina dances in the plaza and removes its mask."
When our newly elected president "danced" in Grant park (plaza) he took off his "mask"(his newly appointed title "Commander and Chief") briefly by having his family join him on stage. It became that Day of Purification, and for some including my self a heighten sense of awareness. That something very important and wonderful has just happened.
